Okay, I’m back: up for air. Kind of. Allow me to explain, as I always do.

I find it interesting that we live in a world where we’ll shell out A LOT to hear + see the “successful” folk speak about their “successes”. We’re glued to every word they say, picking apart their lessons, trying to find secrets, insights + tools we can apply to our own personal + professional trajectories. IF we do as THEM, we too can reap the rewards. Probably. Perhaps. But, truthfully, maybe not. Here’s why.

I consume A LOT of information on a daily basis because I too want to hear something that will validate what it is that I’m doing, providing me with a moment of reprieve before I venture back into battle building a life + a business from scratch. The problem is that it very rarely hits home for me because their “success” isn’t really relatable. I’M NOT THERE (yet), therefore what they’re spitting doesn’t apply to me (right now).

So what I’ve been doing is seeking those who are CURRENTLY hustling, grinding, building (at times crying + hitting rock bottom), because they’re REAL PEOPLE to me. They, like me, believe in something very deeply + are doing everything in their power to make it work. They’re not there (yet) either + so, we can relate + learn + confide. They’re in the thick of it in their own respective lane.

To me these types of people are those from whom we can learn in real time. They’re just like me. They help me — I help them. WE GIVE, accessing Gratitude, which helps to ease the soul when things feel INSANE (which they do).

So. I think that’s the next part of my AUTHENTICITY chapter. You’ve seen me rise from the ashes in my personal world. Now, I want to share my journey w/you as I build my professional world. All the ups, downs + in betweens. The struggle + the ease. Not the “look, I’ve made it + here’s how/why”. But the REAL, relatable stuff. The “this is fucking hard + volatile but I care so much that I’m going to push through”.

That’s all. Here’s me. In Apt #3 since “moving” to NYC to grow @__intheunknown(yes - we’re changing things up - more on that later). I’m tired but I’m motivated. I hope it inspires you to go out + DO/BE. xx
